Acute Reactions by Ruby Lang is another light romance by an American author. I quite like light romances unless they are too silly or the heroine annoys me and obviously I won’t know about that until I start reading. This book is described on the cover as “fun and spicy” but I would settle for engaging and romantic – it will be interesting to see what it turns out to be.
The story features a woman who works as an allergist and her patient who runs a restaurant. They are both ambitious and workaholics and there are presumably barriers in the way of them coming together, although I suspect that by the end of the book they will have overcome these successfully.
With this book has come a pendant. It has a cord necklace and hanging from it is a silvery clasp with a purple, glass, dangling ornament. It’s quite a pretty thing but I don’t wear jewellery at all so I have no use for this. I am pleased to say, however, that I know someone who may well like it so I will pass it on.
